Sneh Rashmi Botanical Garden” is located on the bank of the Tapi river in Surat. Surat - the industrial hub of Gujarat, also has a pleasant and green side to it. The city, which is also called Manchester of India is home to the Botanical Garden of India that has more than 1,000 plant species along with other attraction such as a toy train, Columbus, Injecto, Free Fall Jump, Rocket Space, Crazy Jump and hot air balloon ride to enjoy the picturesque Surat.
The Sneh Rashmi Botanical Garden was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi in the year 2011. The budget allocated for the garden was Rs. 6.85 crores. The park covers 1.40 lakh square metre and is the biggest garden in the city. It is home to over a thousand species of ornamental plants, herbs and exotic flowers. Sneh Rashmi Botanical Garden in Surat is also known for its largest collection of tropical plants. The garden also has a cactus greenhouse that showcases cactus plants of various breeds, shapes and sizes. The centre of the garden is a small lake.
Botanical Garden Surat Timings
This beautiful garden opens from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM with an exception of Monday. Maintenance of the garden is scheduled every Monday. One needs at least 3 hours to visit and explore this garden. The garden receives medium footfall every week but this can vary during the festive season and on the weekends. On an average, about 20,000 people visit this place every month. The garden is maintained by Surat Municipal Corporation.

For children between 5 and 12 years of age: Rs. 5
Entry for kids below 5 years of age and specially-abled is free.
For senior citizens above the age of 64 years - Rs. 5
For primary and secondary grade students: Rs. 2
Camera Charges: Rs. 5 per camera
Amenities such as helium balloon rides, monotrain, and pinwheels are exclusive and one needs to pay extra to avail these leisure activities.

When can you visit the garden?
Since Surat enjoys a pleasant climate all year round, you can visit the garden at any time of the year. Morning and evening are the best time to visit the garden for a jog. Evenings are best for the picnic and casual get-togethers. However, September To February is the best season to visit the garden. Since the garden is open with not much shade to offer, it is suggested that you avoid visiting in the peak summer season and during the afternoon. Keep a water bottle, scarf and sunglasses with you to stay hydrated and cool even in the evening.
The Botanical garden in Surat has a herbal forest, Nakshatra van, bamboo woods, house plant nurseries, Ashok van and rock garden. The garden is also the home to the world's biggest clock and a suspended bridge as a tourist attraction.
